Me and CHEESE.
Amsterdam rooftops. These photos were taken from the restaurant Blue which offers spectacular 360 degree views of the city. The food was pretty good too!
I love how this Amsterdam sunset throws into lovely perspective the hooks at the top of each tall house. These hooks are used with a pulley system to move furniture and other large bulky objects in and out of the buildings through the windows because the stairways are much too steep and narrow.
This is one corner of the Homomonument in Amsterdam laden with flowers. This corner of the larger triangle that forms the Homomonument juts out over the Keizersgracht canal. My friend Larae who lives in Amsterdam says there is never a day when it is not covered with flowers. It’s one of the most popularly visited monuments in Amsterdam.
